The Little Black Dress - The essential element of the little black dress is that it fit. Join us for a 3-session working symposium on how to make the perfect little black dress. It doesn't have to be black; it just needs to fit.

Sunday, July 17, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Session 1 includes taking of your measurements and adjusting a dress pattern to fit your unique contours. From there you are invited to make a muslin mock up of the dress here or at your home.

Thursday, July 21, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Session 2 covers fitting the muslin to your body and transferring any further alterations to the pattern

Sunday, July 31, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Session 3 is optional. Here we'll work with you while you construct your perfect fitting dress!

Class size is small so sign up early! $75.00 for 3 sessions

Things you will need for class: Session 1 - Pattern, muslin & thread, pins and scissors; Session 2 - Fabric and notions also.

The Summer of The Skirt - 2005 is the Summer of the skirt. Here are 3 stylish versions, you can easily and quickly make without a pattern.Recommended for all sewing levels. You can make these skirts as easy or complex as you like. Great for beginners since there is a lot of long straight stitching.

$75.00 for all 3 sessions and 3 skirts, or $35.00 for one session.
Space priority will be given to those taking all 3 sessions.

Sunday, July 24, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Gypsy skirt -- the current rage and perfect for Fiesta. Just cut the strips gather and sew.
What you will need: Fabric, thread and elastic or zipper and interfacing, pins and scissors.

Sunday, August 14, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Circle skirts -- you'll just love to twirl in this baby. With a piece of fabric and a piece of string, you can make a circle skirt fit to you. Just 2-seams, zipper or buttons, and whatever waistline treatment - waistband or facing - you choose. Roll and faced hem techniques will be covered.
What you will need: Fabric, thread and elastic or zipper and interfacing, pins and scissors.

Sunday, August 28, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Sally's handkerchief skirt -- if you've been by Fine Fabrics lately,then you know you have to have this skirt. No patterns; just two squares times two and a yoke made to your measurements. A zipper or elastic waistband will complete this dynamite feminine skirt.
What you will need: Fabric, thread and elastic or zipper and interfacing, pins and scissors.
